Having successfully created and developed Daniel Henry Estate Agents during the 1970&rsquo;s and early 1980&rsquo;s culminating in the largest independent Estate Agency outside the Greater Belfast Area. This Estate Agency covered the North West of the province and had 6 profitable offices and was bought out by the Nationwide Anglia Building Society in 1988. At this time Nationwide also bought Ulster Property Sales and Columb was retained to run the entire Northern Ireland Operation. Columb remained for 12 months before purchasing Bensons. During this 12 month period the operation within Northern Ireland remained one of the more profitable regions within the United Kingdom framework.</p>
<p style="padding-top: 0px; margin: 0px 0px 14px; color: #444444; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;">Columb purchased Bensons in 1992. Bensons was primarily a locally based agricultural estate agency. This agency was used primarily as a vehicle for Columb to carry out consultancy work and also expand his personal property development portfolio. The nature of this consultancy work is based primarily on a extensive range of contacts built up over 40 years of business. Currently we act for all the major banks and are currently retained on the valuation panel for the First Trust, Danske Bank and Bank of Ireland. We also advise a number of the old Family Estates and have a diverse portfolio of builders and commercial clients.</p>
<p style="padding-top: 0px; margin: 0px 0px 14px; color: #444444; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;">Columb was the founder member of the IAVI (Irish Auctioneers and Valuers Institute) in Northern Ireland. This has now amalgamated with the RICS and Columb is now a fully FRICS accreditated member. Bensons is also a regulated firm with both RICS and NAEA (National Association of Estate Agents).</p>

<p style="padding-top: 0px; margin: 0px 0px 14px; color: #444444; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;">Dan is a fully qualified Chartered Accountant having completed his training with KPMG Belfast . Prior to joining KPMG Dan completed a Masters degree in both Economics and Accounting at Edinburgh University where he achieved a second class first division accreditation. During his four years at KPMG Dan worked primarily within the Auditing Department where he gained experience culminating in senioring&nbsp; a number of large commercial audits. During this period Dan also worked within the Management Consultancy and Corporate Recovery Departments and was a key member of a number of receivership teams.</p>
<p style="padding-top: 0px; margin: 0px 0px 14px; color: #444444; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;">Once leaving KPMG Dan joined the family Business of Bensons. During the next few years Dan together with his father grew the business significantly. To complement his Accountancy qualification Dan also completed membership of the National Association of Estate Agents and in 2014 become a fully qualified member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. Dan is now a fully qualified Chartered Surveyor and is also a member of the RICS Registered Valuers scheme.</p>
