The Owner’s Perspective...
"I was lucky enough to spend most of my childhood in Helen’s Bay and my children were able to grow up in much the same way as I did, playing outside with friends, exploring the country park, learning independence on the train to school. Blackwood Crescent is the kind of place where children play with their friends, learn to ride their bikes and where neighbours become friends. Children can go to the village Montessori pre school, take part in youth club, learn to play tennis on Saturdays at the village courts, walk to school up the hill in Crawfordsburn or head to the beach - it’s only a few hundred metres away though the forest.
Grown ups go for morning swims in the sea, sunrise yoga on the beach, fitness classes at the golf club, and quiet lunches at the Old Inn.
It is now 16 years since we moved to this house and our children have grown and moved on. This house, which was so good to us as a family home, is now ready for its next chapter. I leave it with a touch of sadness, but also with the hope that another family will find the same joy, fill it with noise and create their own idyllic memories and stories here - Helen’s Bay is that kind of place".
