Monksland

Monksland is located on the western side of Athlone town and forms much of what is known locally as Athlone west. The Monksland area has developed over the last thirty years into a triving hub of Athlone town with a mix of various business types, many of which as located within Monksland Business Park. Located adjacent is Monksland Industrial Estate which is home to several of Athlone`s large pharmaceutical industries and close-by are Westpoint Retail Park, Supervalu, Pharmacy, Primary Care Centre, Athlone Springs Hotel, Cloonakilla National School, Summerhill National School, Colaiste Chiarain and exit 13 of the M6 (Dublin to Galway). Also situated on the town bus route with a bus-stop close to the business park entrance.
