Last week, the PropertyPal team joined many others at the iconic Stormont Estate for Simon Community's One Big Sleep Out. This is an annual event that brings people together to raise awareness and vital funds to help combat homelessness.

The One Big Sleep Out isn’t about recreating the harsh realities of homelessness. Instead, it’s about standing in solidarity with those who face them every day. Participants spend one night sleeping outside to spark conversations, raise funds and show compassion for those who don’t have the same choice.

Amongst the cardboard and sleeping bags, someone had written words that truly stayed with us:

“If we all stand together, we can truly make a difference.”

Those words perfectly captured what the night was all about…standing together. For awareness. For compassion. For change.

We’re incredibly proud to have taken part, and even prouder of the incredible work, our charity partner Simon Community do every single day to support those experiencing homelessness across Northern Ireland.

Simon Community is the leading homeless charity in the region. Established in 1971, they’ve spent over five decades working towards a clear vision to create a society where everyone has a place to call home. Their services provide shelter, support and pathways to independence for people facing homelessness or housing insecurity. At PropertyPal, we also believe in a society where everyone has a home. Together, we can make that a reality.

A huge thank you to everyone who has already donated, your kindness makes a real difference. And if you can, please consider supporting Simon Community to help them continue their life-changing work.
