The lands extend to approximately 51.70 acres (20.92 hectares) and have been utilised for the quarrying of sand and gravel since the early 1980s. The lands are formed in one main block with a number of pits and ponds formed throughout. In recent times the land have only seen little / sporadic use. Mountfield is a small village located in County Tyrone. The village is situated off the main Omagh to Cookstown Road (A505) and is located approximately 7.5 miles North East of Omagh, 19 miles West of Cookstown, 7.5 miles North West of Carrickmore and 5 miles South West of Greencastle.

The lands are located approximately 2 miles North East of the village and are accessed just off the Barony Road (Main Road linking Omagh & Cookstown). The lands are located to the northern side of Loughanillan.
